Racing Victoria Limited Veterinary Services has a system of accreditation for all veterinarians holding official raceday appointments throughout Victoria.
An orientation/education program for prospective applicants has been implemented along with the development of a database of those already approved in Victoria.
As well Veterinary Services has developed a manual of roles, responsibilities and minimum standards of service provision for the guidance of existing and prospective raceday veterinarians.
Continually developed and implemented is a system of performance auditing, up skilling and continuing education to establish a benchmark for the provision of raceday veterinary services.
