Prior to nominations being released
If 7 or less nominations are received once nominations have closed, the club, in consultation with Racing Victoria Limited, may apply to delete the race from the program.
Once a decision has been made to delete the event, all trainers in that particular race will be contacted and advised of the decision to delete that race.
These horses maybe then re-entered for any other race at the same racemeeting or at any other meeting for which weights have yet to be issued and/or as an extended entry up until 4pm on the day before acceptances for any meeting for which weights have been issued.
Once extended nominations have closed
If 7 or less nominations are received once extended nominations have closed, the club, in consultation with Racing Victoria Limited, may apply to delete the race from the program.
In some circumstances, the race maybe extended for a further 2 hours once extended nominations have closed at 10am.
Once a decision has been made to delete the event, all trainers in that particular race will be contacted and advised of the decision to delete that race.
These horses maybe then re-entered for any other race at the same racemeeting or at any other meeting for which weights have yet to be issued and/or as an extended entry up until 4pm on the day before acceptances for any meeting for which weights have been issued.
After Acceptances
If 6 or less acceptances are received once acceptances have closed, the club, in consultation with Racing Victoria Limited, may also apply to delete the race from the program.
If 4 or less acceptances are received once acceptances have closed, the club, in consultation with Racing Victoria Limited, will delete the race from the program unless there are extenuating circumstances.
This will generally occur after the race has been extended for an additional 30 minutes and all trainers who have not accepted with their horse are contacted and advised of the status of the race.
Once a decision has been made to delete the event, all trainers in that particular race will be contacted and advised of the decision to delete that race.
These horses may be entered at any other meeting for which weights have yet to be issued and/or as an extended entry up until 4pm on the day before acceptances for any meeting for which weights have been issued.
Meeting Abandoned
These horses may be entered at any other meeting for which weights have yet to be issued and/or as an extended entry up until 4pm on the day before acceptances for any meeting for which weights have been issued.
