StableSafe is an initiative developed by Racing Victoria with the assistance and funding of WorkSafe and with the support of the Australian Workers Union and the Australian Trainers Association. Its objective is to facilitate sustainable behavioural and cultural change towards proactive safety measures within thoroughbred racing stables.
StableSafe comprises a comprehensive OHS Toolkit, developed to assist employers and employees to achieve compliance under the Vic OHS Act 2004
In the following sections you will find a range of safety policies, forms, checklists and information that can be used and tailored to an individual stables requirements. Racing Victoria also employs a StableSafe Officer who can be contacted to provide advice and assistance on how to most effectively implement the various policies and procedures contained within the toolkit.
