DATA ENTRY/ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR
(6-12 Month Contract – Part-Time)
An opportunity exists within the thoroughbred racing industry for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Financial Shared Services team based at Racing Victoria, Epsom Rd, Flemington.
Racing Victoria is now seeking to employ a suitable person with appropriate experience for this Temporary, Part-time position (circa 20 hours per week-flexible).
The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate an ability to provide data entry and accounts admin support to the Service Delivery Leader and Financial Accountant in the delivery of agreed services to entities participating in RV’s Shared Services.
Duties include: -
* Accounts Payable – processing invoices with appropriate description, raising cheque and EFT payment and maintaining Creditor’s master file in line with current process schedules.
* Accounts Receivable – processing invoices from invoice requests received.
As a high number of entities are served by the position it is important to have good organizational and attention to detail skills as well as speed and accuracy and the ability to foster good relationships on a number of levels.
Must have a sound understanding of accounting concepts and processes and knowledge of GST in relation to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
Experience in a Shared Services environment and the use of Great Plains Accounting Software would be highly regarded.
