Racing Victoria Limited's Official Home which contains all thoroughbred racing information within the Victorian Racing Industry

 

Racing Victoria Limited is the peak body for thoroughbred racing in Victoria. RVL was registered as a public company in December 2001 and immediately assumed the functions and responsibilities as the principal racing authority in Victoria, previously held by the Victoria Racing Club.


RVL's Member Shareholders consist of:

  • Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Association (TROA),

  • Australian Trainers Association (Victorian Branch) (ATA),
  • Victorian Jockeys Association (VJA),
  • Australian Jumps Racing Association (AJRA),
  • Victorian Bookmakers Association (VBA), and
  • Unions representing the Australian Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers' Union (Vic Branch) (LHMU), Australian Services Union (Vic Branch) (ASU), Australian Workers' Union (Vic Branch) (AWU), Media, Arts & Entertainment Alliance (MEAA).
 
The RVL Board has 11 Directors headed by Chairman Michael Duffy. Peter Sinn (Deputy Chairman), Peter McMahon, John Harvey, Barbara Saunders, Bryan Gurry, Robert Roulston, Paul Schauble, David Moodie and Ross Dobinson and the company's CEO Rob Hines.
